Tyco Fire Protection Products is hosting a series of roadshows across the UK and Ireland which focus on managing fire risks within data centres.
These roadshows take place outside Allianz Park, London on 30th May; Bristol Museum on 31st May; at Tyco Park in Manchester on 1st June; the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow on 5th June and will conclude at Croke Park in Dublin on 7th June.
Hosted in Tyco’s new Fire Hazard and Protection Roadshow Truck, bespoke training sessions will be held during each roadshow, with CPD certification being offered to attendees.
These sessions will focus on noise behaviour and its impact on computer hard disk drives (HDDs), compiled with input from consultants and designers in the data centre industry.
Experts from Tyco will also discuss the key considerations when designing and specifying fire protection systems for data centres and the impact on reduced downtime in the event of a fire.
Inside the truck, Tyco is demonstrating its range of gaseous suppression solutions for data centres, including the new Acoustic Nozzle sound output and calculation tool.
Alan Elder, Tyco fellow engineered systems, comments: “Data centre space and power in Europe will increase by almost 20% between 2015 and 2020, according to a new report from the Tariff Consultancy Ltd (TCL). It is critical to prepare for this growth by providing effective fire protection solutions which guard against potentially detrimental fire damage and ensure maximum uptime.
“This event provides the chance for attendees to access all the latest innovations in fire suppression and detection technology for data centres.”
