N2S offers a full IT lifecycle management service, ranging from data centre installation and decommissioning through to data destruction and recycling. The company boasts an impressive portfolio of clients including the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Home Office and the HM Prison Service.
Trackit Solutions specialises in physically auditing, tracking and validating IT assets and have audited millions of assets across Europe, Africa, Asia and America. Its customers range from large enterprise environments such as FTSE 100 financial and telecoms companies and their data centres, to smaller companies and their IT and network rooms.
Andy Gomarsall, N2S director, said, ‘We are both delighted and excited to be working with Trackit Solutions to launch this new service, which we genuinely believe will offer our clients a more efficient and profitable way to manage all of their IT assets and data centres.’
The new IT inventory audit will essentially work by a team of auditors physically collecting the IT asset details. This includes information such as manufacturer, model, asset number and serial number. This information is used to generate a visual image of the IT space and show usage and capacity for key metrics such as space, power and network. If existing data is available this can be validated and populated into an existing product. Alternatively if no data is available or it is inaccurate, Trackit provides a software solution for the customer to manage and maintain their new data easily and with confidence.
