New platform for jobseekers in technology industry puts everyone on a level playing field

As well as this, many potential candidates are unfairly discounted by recruiters, as recent research by Race for Opportunity showed that 69 per cent of employees in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) sectors hold some form of unconscious racial bias. Traditional forms of recruitment only help enforce biases such as race, gender, disability, religion, and so on, allowing employers to pick and choose candidates from a pre-existing pool of jobseekers, without even seeing the other options.

Nottx (pronounced not-ex) allows jobseekers to advertise their intent to move on within their career path to recruiters and headhunters, as well as avoiding any issues of unconscious bias by completely removing any knowledge of race, gender, age, or any other factors that may otherwise influence those involved in the recruitment process. Instead, candidates are completely anonymous and considered on nothing more than their own experience and career merits.

Nottx helps experienced professionals with intent to move on with their career connect directly with recruiters, allowing them to get themselves noticed, instead of just posting their CVs online without any guarantees it will even be seen. Candidates can stay anonymous until they choose not to if they are interested in a particular offer, meaning an end to recruiters spamming LinkedIn mailboxes or tracking down candidates, who may not even be interested or available, through social media.

With Nottx, candidates provide a basic set of details that take just minutes to input and can stay anonymous until they choose to engage. Candidates can register a profile even if they are not actively looking but may be interested in or tempted by the right role or will be available in a certain time period.

Employers can search candidates’ anonymous profiles using various filters, from ‘years of experience’ to ‘notice periods’ and can then engage directly with a relevant shortlist – this completely changes and refreshes the process for both jobseekers and recruiters.

The platform has recently been launched in the US and the UK and candidate registrations are now open. Nottx is completely free of charge for candidates, and recruiters can register now and pricing will offer significant early bird discounts to those that sign up before the end of the year, alongside special rates for charities, not-for-profits and start-ups.
